Event to take a deep dive into USCDI, OAuth 2.0, HL7 Accelerators, FHIR integration, CORE updates, privacy and security during COVID-19, and more
WASHINGTON, D.C. — June 18, 2020 — WEDI, the preeminent national membership association for health IT guidance and collaboration, today announced the agenda and logistics for its WEDI Forum, taking place virtually with a set of pre-forum sessions on July 31, and the main event from August 4-6.
The WEDI Forum will feature informative sessions where attendees can ask questions and share their thoughts on the most important issues impacting health IT and interoperability. Forum attendees will experience a combination of virtual discussions, keynote sessions, and a unique exhibit hall experience.
The event will kick-off with a special "WEDI 101" pre-forum set of presentations taking place on Friday, July 31, covering an array of topics, including:
- The 411 on USCDI
- Payer and provider obligations under recent HHS rules within the context of USCDI
- An introduction to the intersection of clinical and administrative data standards task force
In addition to the pre-forum sessions, a host of industry leaders and influencers will lead discussions from August 4-6 on important health IT topics, including:
- A look at two of the HL7 accelerators with a special introduction by Dr. Charles Jaffe, CEO and Global Ambassador of HL7
- Understanding the impact of OAuth 2.0
- Payer updates on the ongoing FHIR integration
- Addressing the latest privacy and security issues in HIT including ONC/CMS regulations, COVID-19 and cybersecurity
- How the industry can improve administrative processes
- CORE updates
- The role of X12 in a FHIR world
Registered attendees will receive the links to the live virtual presentations one week prior to the start of the forum. The WEDI Forum is open to all interested health care stakeholders across provider, payer, vendor and government entities. Both WEDI members and non-members can register online and can view the full schedule here. In addition to individual passes, Corporate Passes are also available, allowing everyone in an organization to attend as many virtual sessions as they’d like.
