Episode 178: Pitfalls But Promise. The State of Healthcare Cybersecurity with Scott Mattila, COO & Chief Security Officer, Intraprise Health
February 18, 2021
WEDI applauds President Joe Biden for his selection of Chiquita Brooks-LaSure to lead the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Once confirmed, Brooks-LaSure will take on the role of Administrator at a critical time-with the nation combating COVID-19 and the industry seeking to better leverage technology to simplify health care administration and facilitate patient access to their health information. At this critical juncture, WEDI calls on CMS to address regulatory barriers and advance burden reduction efforts that will drive down costs and facilitate automation of health plan-provider communications. Effective deployment of health IT combined with strong public-private partnerships are essential to attaining our collective vision of an efficient and secure health care system. WEDI looks forward to working with Brooks-LaSure and CMS to transform health care through forging cooperation and achieving consensus.
